I would hate to p up this job. What to do.?

Well I live in Mississippi.. Meridian that is.. Jobs here are very scarce.. So I applied to jobs here and surrounding areas.. So far no one here have responded to my applications.. Except today a Wendy's' restaurant in Brandon.. The manager seemed very nice and understanding.. He said with me living so far away he would have me work 4 consecutive days and off 3.. That really sucks.. So I am thinking of moving there and living in a shelter until I make some money.. So far my family thinks that is a very stupid idea.. And even my egg donor (mother) thinks so too.. And she's the one who wants me to hurry and get a job and get out.. I'm 18 btw.. Right now I'm very desperate.. I will do almost anything for money.. And if it takes living in a shelter, I will do it.. Please someone offer advice..
