Can PGE Shut Me Off When I Give Them Money Each Week?

I was not able to pay PGE for a month. My bill is around 400 dollars. I just got a part time job and told them the best I can do is give them $50.00 a week. Thats putting myself in the hole just to please them. They told me, if I didn't give them at least $200.00 (in 5 days!!!) that they will shut me off. I am freaking out and I have read that with like paying for an apartment, your managers can not throw you out if you are playing what you have because the judge see's it as you are making an effort. Would that be the same case as electrical services? Please give me real answers (asap!) and not rude comments. I called the utility commission, they sounded sincere, but they do run PGE. Should I be contacting a lawyer?
