Has anyone heard about the Army changing standard deployment times?

I heard a rumor from my husband the other day (who is currently deployed, along with my father and brother) that the Army is talking about shortening standard deployment time from 12 months to 9 months and lengthening the mandatory stateside time from 12 months to 27. Has anyone else heard this? God I hope its true. We've got a 7 month old son that my husband only got to spend a month with, I don't want him to miss out on as much. Either way, we're lifers in the Army lol.
