What restrictions were placed on the Yeoman’s freedom by the English feudal system during the medieval times?

the yeomen did not own the land in fact only the King and a few of the Nobility were able to own land. By about the 14th century land could been given by the nobility to the farmers but in return the farmers needed to pay back service to the lord.usually by farming the land or some sort of military service. land could be given to their heirs but only with the permission from the landlord. This was known as "copy hold." Very few farms were "freehold."<-- look into it a little more:)
