Column Movement/polarity?
A very polar compound is tested for purity using column chromatography. A silica column is used along with 85% ethylacetate in hexanes for the mobile phase. The colored band does not move appreciably. Why is the sample not moving/what could be done to speed up the very polar compounds motion?
