I ate some homemade betty crocker cake and when I got to the very last bite I felt something in my tongue...?

I got it out and it started to wipe away the cake residue and it was some sort of metal. I called the Betty Crocker number and they did not seem to care. I looked in the cake bags thoroughly and there were shards of the same material there. I had to got to the emergency room to make sure I was ok. I had a bowel movement and was able to p everything but it was painful. What should I do this is so bazaar?
