Guitar Stringing???

The other day, I decided to restring my guitar, so I bought new acoustic guitar strings. They are medium .013-.056, phosphor bronze. I've never completely restrung a guitar before, so this was my first time. Anyway, I restrung it, and played it, and it sounded pretty bad. I think the previous strings it had on were light. Now, it sounds kind of echoey and tinny. Did I string it wrong? Is it just the sound these strings are supposed to have? Did I bend the neck? What should I do?
